Meet Dave Berman
Dave Berman, C.Ht. has extensive training and experience in Hypnosis, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Life Coaching. He is also a Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher and Laughter Ambassador, Ivy League graduate (B.S. in Communication from Cornell University), and a prolific author and public speaker.
Dave currently sees clients on Skype only while traveling internationally on the #HelpTheWorldLaugh tour. His book Laughter For the Health of It, co-written with Kelley T. Woods, is available here with free shipping inside the US. On January 1, 2016, Dave launched Daily Laughers, creating an intentional laughter video each day aimed at inspiring people to adopt a daily practice of laughing on purpose.
In private hypnotherapy/coaching sessions, Dave takes a conversational and client-centered approach, which means he builds a genuine human connection adapted to each individual. He commonly uses stories and metaphors, in the spirit of the legendary psychiatrist and hypnotist Milton Erickson, MD; unconditional laughter, as taught to the world by laughter yoga founder Dr. Madan Kataria; mindfulness, a form of meditation shown by modern scientific research to offer many physical, emotional and cognitive benefits; and the three principles (thought/mind/consciousness), primarily as taught by Jamie Smart.
When not working or doing laughter yoga, Dave is devoted to jogging, meditation, vegan cooking, hiking, and dancing at concerts with a “Free Hugs” sign. People say his smile is contagious, his laughter infectious, and his attitude an inspiration. Seriously, you gotta meet this guy or at least sign up for his newsletter on the right side of this page.
“As someone who’d dealt with a chronic pain issue for over four years, Dave helped me understand how the mind and a conflict in your mind can play a key role in sustaining symptoms. With his help, I was able to show a marked reduction in pain after a few sessions. I’d highly recommend giving him a go if you have an unresolved pain issue that won’t go away”
